Hello Janet, There is an office in the market that would answer all your questions. I had never sold or participated in such activities in the market. I go there to have breakfast and fresh produce buying, sadly after Lauren backery closed, the traffic in the market dwendeld. Good luck
Yes, for sure! All types
Last weekend most vendors were selling tomatoes for $2-$3 a pound.
They had them when I was there last. Definitely worth going and looking for them.
Not at the community market. There is one on Timberlake and one in Madison Heights.
Yes, they do! You can get it from different vendors...
Not in the slightest.
We haven't seen her in quite a while. There were rumors of some very sketchy behavior tho.
A wonderful place to shop and eat. Some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.
I found this farmers market to be a tad on the small side and lacking in certified organic produce and meats. The vendors were very friendly. The prices were kind of reasonable.
My husband and I always enjoy our time at the Lynchburg Community Market. In the past few years we have attempted to adopt a vegetarian/vegan way of eating for it's health benefits, while supporting our local farmers and merchants. We appreciate the opportunity to socialize with local people as well as visitors who stop by. There is a variety of shops inside as well as merchants and farmers outside offering local fruits, vegetables, honey, crafts, prepared foods, particularly wonderful chocolates as well as locally made organic bath and body products and so much more. We especially enjoy our social time with many friendly souls in our community all while supporting our local farmers, merchants, and friends.
Barb's! Great home cooked food. Get one of the daily lunch specials. You will be full and satisfied!
Lots of fun! Had breakfast just on right, maybe Barbs. Very good. Lots of interesting vendors.
Great place to get fresh produce, meat, and seafood. Decent prices of you shop around.
Great place to visit Saturday morning! Great local food from honest, local farms.
I love shopping at Lynchburg Community Market. They have a large variety of unique hand made crafts, fresh local produce, meats, breads, baked goods, and cheeses, and souvenirs. My husband and I love to come in here and eat at some of the resturants inside while we shop. They have Vietnamese, Filipino, and classic country cuisines perfect for whatever you're in the mood for.
Fun place to buy homemade goods.
An amazing place. Worth it for all the produce, fresh meat, eggs, honey, random things, Lorraine Bakery and the various places to eat food. Saturday morn is the entire community and often with outdoor music pending on the weather.
Always a great time..the vendors are knowledgeable and friendly...and the produce is fresh! I especially love the local honey!!! Remember local honey keeps you healthy ❣️
Got everything I needed. Quick and the vendors were really helpful.
It's always fun to visit the market anytime of year. There are great places to eat and loads of locally grown produce plus many artisans.
Cant miss this every Saturday!! We just moved from Florida and come most weekends. So many vendors and different fruits and veggies. Several food vendors (Vietnamese, Philippines, Persian, and more ) .come hungry!!
Great for locally grown produce and meats. Several good places to eat there as well as local crafts and products.
What a lovely little town. Fathers bakery was lovely in the community market and i would recommend their donuts
Awesome place! Great breakfast. Defintely a must visit if you live in Lynchburg or visiting.
Great place to shop and eat I had a great time last night and the bands wow lots of people having fun
A fun day with family! Loved Balloon Dude Travis! Kids love it! Don't miss his book launch party on Feb 22!
Love the home grown vegetables
Everything here is fresh and amazing. All the businesses have been tried and tested by consumers and only the best remain at the Lynchburg Community Market. Barb's Dreamhut has some classic mom's breakfast, and I can reccomend any and all produce from here.
Never a dull moment. Lots of great organic produce, food trucks and friendly folk
super cute little town, I felt in love with it!
I went during late lunch time 1pm on a Thursday in July. Most shop vendors inside were closed and no outdoor market. Food available was more burgers, sandwiches and southern meat and veggies... the bakeries and coffee roaster made their own array of goods, but the only thing local about the only open cafes was that they are locally owned. This is the second time I've been to this market and I remain unimpressed.
The selection of goods here is most excellent, from the produce (which encompasses everything from apples and turnips to honey and bison) to the eateries. The coffee store and the southern cooking are amazing, the baked goods make you want more, the lavender shop smells so good and the crafts are really cool, too! If you have never been, you are missing out!!
This is an amazing market, keep up with their calendar online or on social media, always something fun and free to do there. Bring your kids and even your little dog, seems pet friendly. I love to get flowers, fruits, veggies, pies. I enjoy seeing the artisans inside and a lot of the time they have music or other entertainment there. Great history at this marketing if you haven't been in awhile you're missing out.
Good place to find 100% grass fed and finished beef
I'd never been here before. Some good food here.
Barbs Dream hut has great food, great service and unbeatable prices😀. Closed on Mondays 😕
Best bakery around. Everything is delicious and sells out fast. Get there early.
Come early on Saturday. Fresh locally grown vegatibles of every kind are available. And Irene's serves up a breakfast that can't be beat...
It makes you feel like you've gone back in time. EVERYONE is friendly & helpful. Whenever I come to Lynchburg, it's our Saturday morning outing
Local food and a couple boutiques. Craft places closed. Nothing much to see.
Great atmosphere always great food at barbs dreamhut and the items for sale/shops are so neat!
This place is the best location to get hand crafted items for any occasion. The individual vendors are both personable and so individual- and there's a ton of great craftsmanship too.
Great Farmers Market, open daily for breakfast and lunch, try Dream Hut and Phillipine Delight, both amazing.
A local gathering place to meet up with friends (whether you intended to or not), purchase local produce, but there's also a variety of vendors selling everything from bee pollen products to hand crafted doll furniture. Be sure to come hungry as there are a variety of breakfast and other food options to choose from including a local bakery. Most weekends, there will be live music to add to the happy ambience. It's definitely our happy place!
Needs more parking.
We love living in Downtown Lynchburg and the Community Market is a huge reason! Saturday's the best!!
Awesome food. Market staff and vendors are very nice and friendly. Barbs Dream Hut is the place to be for good hometown cooking. You can also get fresh baked goods at the bakery. Beautiful clothes at Willowbreeze and the best natural products for hair and skin right next door to Willowbreeze. Not to mention fresh fruits. Get down to the market
Desolate. Covid-19 has not been kind. I do highly recommend Philippine Delight. Really good food at a super price!
To start with prices are cheaper than Walmart food is fresher and healthier and customer service treats you like family. The farmers and vendors love their customers and want to get to know you even better. Some will even bargain on their prices. I've never had anything to complain about here. Nor have I ever heard a complaint about the market. in my opinion if somewhere has never had a complaint to my knowledge that makes them great because someone always has a complaint about a place.
Lynchburg Community Market is a great place for locally grown produce, crafts, and food. The Chicken Salad there is delicious. The Vendors are very friendly , the produce fresh , the Food delicious ,and the Prices reasonable. They are open every Saturday and certain days during the week. Its a nice place to take the Family as there is also events held throughout the year.
I love having a Farmers market to get local food without a package! I'd rather spend the extra dollar to support a family rather than Walmart or whatever. Buying in season is also better for the environment. Great place to be!
This is a really neat place. The Farmers market is outside and local quizine and flea market is inside. I met many local people here. Food was great and so was the atmosphere.
Always a great experience! Love the cheese lady that has fresh cheeses from Amish- the fresh pastas are great! Love the local honey- everyone is awesome ❤️
Nice variety of produce, meats prepared food to eat and good pastries
I go to every Farmers market I see. I just love the atmosphere the color the friendly faces and enjoy looking at the different selections of goods. This was hands down the best one I've ever seen in 20 years. The different vendors all with beautiful fresh foods, everybody was friendly it seemed like the community center!
Irene's Country Cooking is where it's at for a country-style meal. I like to go there during lunch (she only serves breakfast & lunch) to grab a plentifully portioned lunch. I always have enough for 2. Her staff always know what I like when they see me, which is awesome!
Small market, it was a sale day when we visited but had some good products
